About me
Faye Dobinson is a London born, Cornwall based artist whose work looks at the notions of place, of the wild and of memory in its many forms.
Travelling through and working with contemporary artists in Tibet and Mongolia resulted in exhibitions that reflected Faye’s preoccupation with the influence of landscape and her commitment to finding alternative ways to extend her practice.
Recent works see Faye looking at visual language and its ability and limitations in depicting reality. Her exploration of different lines with their differing natures, in both paint and pen, have resulted in a body of work dense with colour and steeped in her memories of the dark wild places of our childhood tales.
